When you think about it, most baked goods are just different combinations of the same few ingredients. Puddings, cakes, cookies, pies, and breads are all made from a few versatile ingredients (primarily flour, sugar, eggs, milk).
(One egg equivalent) (10 min)
- 1 tbsp ground chia seeds*
- 3 tbsp water
*Can buy it ground or use your coffee grinder/mortar pestal
- Add flaxseed meal and water to a dish and stir.
- Let sit for 10-15 minutes so it thickens. Warm water quickens the processes.
- Use in recipes in place of about 1 egg. Because it doesn’t react exactly like an egg there can be some variation but it works great overall.
