Flavored Water

Admittedly, I haven’t always been the biggest water drinking but learning the benefits of drinking water, buying a few good water bottles, and trying out delicious flavored water have converted me.

So why infuse your water? Well, one, it tastes great. That’s a plus in itself but also means you’ll be more likely to get in your 8-10 glasses of water today. Two, nutrients from the fruits leak out of the fruit into the water, especially water-soluble vitamins like as B vitamins and vitamin C! It’s like making your own “vitamin water” without the cost or hidden chemicals.

These delicious combinations liven up the flavors and provide some great nutrients! Mix the flavors and concentrations to create a water you really enjoy.

For all of these recipes, just fill a jar or small pitcher with filtered water (maybe with ice). Then add in fruits (maybe crush them if they’re enclosed, like blueberries). Finally, add some herbs if you’d like! Just a note, the herbs really infuse in the water so start with less and then add more if you want.

Once it’s all mixed up, let it sit in the refrigerator for about 4 hours so the flavors and nutrients can infuse. Drink it with a straw or stain and enjoy!! The mixture will last in the fridge for about 3 days. However, after about 8 hours in the water, the fruit doesn’t look as pretty.

Feel free to reuse the same fruit for more than one serving! Just refill your container when the water is half way gone so that the flavors can mix with the original goodness.

 Detox Water

The cucumber and basil make this drink super refreshing! The strawberries are a nice energy boost and are full of antioxidants.

ice + water + 2 roughly chopped basil leaves + 2 sliced strawberries + 5 slices of cucumber


Light Mango Grape

This mix has vitamin C, helps improve your skin, and is full of antioxidants! Very light flavor but delicious.

ice + water + 1/2 mango + 10 grapes 


Cucumber Lemon 

This drink provides an immune boost and helps with digestion.

ice + water + 5 cucumber slices + 1/2 lemon + 2 mint leaves


Citrus Zing

The lemons and limes help to flush out toxins from your digestive tract and really refreshes you! Note – I think this mixture is pretty strong so I pour a little bit of this mix into another water bottle and top it off with unflavored water and ice. 

ice + water + 1/2 lemon (partially squeezed into water) + 1/2 lime
